To be an effective MLM leader, set goals. Set goals for one week, month, and year, two years, and five years. If it helps you, set daily goals! Goal setters and keepers are successful. Keep your eye on the target as you work towards your goals. You will drown if you are looking down instead of at the target. Knowing your product and attracting people to it is part of working towards your goals. If you understand the product and what it can achieve or perform, you won’t have to sell it. You can meet a person’s needs or help a person and the product will sell itself.
If you have a product that aids an individual’s blood sugar to stay level with no side effects, and you teach them how to use it, you have a successful product because you have helped someone else. You have invested in their need (sowing) and you both will reap the benefits (income for you, and better health for the customer). You have to discover who wants or needs your products. If you are trying to sell filtered water to a person who only drinks soda and beer, and could care less about water, you are wasting your time. You may have an excellent product, but you’re talking to the wrong people about it.
This is exactly why you need to know your market. You have to reach people who want and need the product. Those individuals who are looking for answers to solve their problems will find them in your product. Don’t waste your time with others who don’t care. Knowing your market works into leading with value. If you are helping someone fix their problem (they don’t like their tap water) by giving them quality water, you are leading with value. You are investing in them, into their need, so you are leading with value. It’s a relationship. In talking care of their needs, yours will be met.
If you do all the above, you never need to sell. You only have to teach about your product. This is because people who are proactive and solve problems will naturally want to use your product to make their lives better. So then again, you know your market. So, if you know your product, and you know your market is made up of individuals who are proactive problem solvers, you will naturally lead with value. As you lead with value by teaching, not selling, you have made the whole process a complete success. Don’t try to teach someone who doesn’t want to learn!
